\# Fast payments with Mercado Pago This feature allows your customers to pay directly at checkout using saved cards, Meses sin Tarjeta and available Mercado Pago account balance, without entering payment details on every purchase. By activating this feature, you offer a faster payment experience and increase your approval rate. > WARNING > > This feature is not available for the VTEX headless checkout type. This is how the payment flow works for the buyer: - The customer enters their email address at checkout. - With the email linked to a Mercado Pago account and the Mercado Pago/Mercado Libre app installed on the device, the customer sees their available payment methods: \*\*saved cards\*\*, \*\*account balance\*\* and \*\*Meses sin Tarjeta\*\*. - The customer selects their preferred payment method, confirms their identity with biometrics (fingerprint or facial recognition), and the purchase is processed instantly. > NOTE > > When paying with Fast payments, the conditions configured in the Mercado Pago account apply, not the conditions defined in VTEX per product or SKU. It is not possible to configure differentiated commercial conditions per product or establish a prioritization at the time of payment with this feature. If you have already \[configured and implemented Mercado Pago in your VTEX store\](https://www.mercadopago.com.mx/developers/en/docs/vtex/configure-payment-provider), see below how to activate Fast payments in your store. :::AccordionComponent{title="Activate Fast payments with Mercado Pago"} 1\. In the VTEX admin panel, go to \*\*Store settings > Settings > Payment conditions\*\*. > WARNING > > If your store uses credentials with a pre-approval scope (Recurring Sales), you must \[create a new application\](https://www.mercadopago.com.mx/developers/en/docs/vtex/create-application) in Mercado Pago and \[configure a new provider\](https://www.mercadopago.com.mx/developers/en/docs/vtex/configure-payment-provider) in VTEX exclusively for Fast payments. 2\. In the \*\*Other\*\* category, search for \*\*Fast payments with Mercado Pago\*\* and select the option in question. !\[fast-payments-2\](/images/vtex/vtex-config-fast-payments-2-es.png) 4\. Set a name to identify this payment condition in your store. 5\. In the \*\*Status\*\* field, activate the payment condition. 6\. Under \*\*Process with provider\*\*, select \*\*MercadoPagoV2\*\* and click \*\*Save\*\*. !\[fast-payments-3\](/images/vtex/vtex-config-fast-payments-3-es.png) > To access the payment conditions panel directly, use the URL \`https://{account\_name}.myvtex.com/admin/pci-gateway#/rules/1026/rule/?paymentGroup=other\`, replacing \`{account\_name}\` with your VTEX account name. With the payment condition active, your customers can start using \*\*Fast payments\*\* at your store's checkout. ::: :::AccordionComponent{title="Configure installments and minimum amounts"} To offer installments in \*\*Fast payments\*\*, configure the installment settings directly in your Mercado Pago account. > WARNING > > Replicate the installment parameters in VTEX using the same values configured in Mercado Pago. This ensures consistent conditions for payments made with this feature. 1\. In Mercado Pago, go to \*\*Your business > Fees and installments\*\* and select the \*\*Checkout\*\* tab. 2\. Select the \*\*Installments\*\* tab and, under \*\*Seller-covered installments\*\*, click \*\*Offer\*\*. 3\. Enable \*\*Offer seller-covered installments\*\*, select the number of installments, and click \*\*Set minimum amounts for seller-covered installments\*\*. 4\. Enter the minimum amounts according to your VTEX store configuration and click \*\*Save minimum amounts\*\*. After saving the settings, the installment conditions will apply to \*\*Fast payments\*\* made in your store. :::
